Data Warehouse (DWH) Software Engineering
Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO), Stennis Space Center, MS.
Supported by: OTS (prime)
Scope: Over the course of three distinct contract terms, OTS provided software engineering support to modernize legacy NAVOCEANO DWH applications, which include tailored oceanographic, hydrographic, bathymetric, geophysical, and acoustic products, data, and services that aid in safe navigation and effective mission planning for the DoD worldwide. Following a combination of agile DevSecOps and incremental methodologies, OTS Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) upgraded NAVOCEANO’s existing DWH to build and run successfully with the latest Government-approved versions of the Oracle database, ArcGIS for Server, and ArcGIS API for JavaScript. OTS’ DevSecOps support included addressing cybersecurity requirements, code scans, and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) remediation and compliance. Our team also addressed defect and operational availability issues for development, testing, and deployment of the applications in both NIPR and SIPR environments.
